- How should you use these questions?
These are the 91 practice questions in Ready for My Interview, grouped into the 12 topics a marriage-based green card interview at a USCIS field office tends to cover. Each question has its own page. The page says what the officer may be checking, which follow-up questions to expect, and which facts to have clear before you answer.
A real officer will not read from this list. The officer may ask the same thing in other words, ask about a detail in your answer, or skip a topic. Use the list to find the questions you find hard to answer out loud. Then practice those first. This is practice only. It is not legal advice, and it cannot tell you what USCIS will decide.
You can answer any question out loud for free. Open the question and choose "Answer it now, free". The officer asks that question first and then follows up on what you say. Feedback comes after the session.

How should you use these questions?
Pick one topic. Answer each question once from memory with your notes closed. Mark the facts you need to check, such as a move date or the name of a relative. Check them, then answer again. Do not write a script. Each spouse should answer in their own words, because the officer may question you separately. The Stokes interview guide explains separate questioning.
